  About Mayu ~ Veda

Ayurveda is the knowledge which indicates the appropriate and inappropriate happy or sorrowful conditions of living. It was also indicates what is auspicious or inauspicious for longevity, as well as the measure of life itself. People are gradually growing health conscious and are eager to learn more and more about the ways and means to keep healthy and happy, and Ayurveda offers them certain easy and practical principles for a meaningful life and purposeful living.

Ayurveda has been specifically appreciated for its holistic approach to man and non provocative application of medicines. Therefore some people are in search of an approach that will allow them to gain health promotion and disease prevention. Man is the most precious creature on earth. He is naturally entitled to the best medical treatment available for preservation and fortification of his health and eradication of his disease. The natural interpretation of the best medical treatment would be as follows.

1. It should have the best preventative measures for diseases by way of mental, personal and public hygiene; inoculation, vaccination and immunization etc.

2. It should eradicate the disease from its root and should not allow any relapse or reoccurrence.

3. The drugs cure the disease as quickly as possible but should never cause any side effects, toxic effects or complications. Unfortunately no system of medicine prevalent and practiced in the world today fully fulfilled the above conditions and this is why the vice physicians of the world favour integration of all medical systems assimilating the best from all and developed a world medicine for all.

Science is universal and medical science is no exception. We do not believe that there can be separate systems of western and Indian medicine. Such multiplicity of system is believed in and encouraged by people who have not clearly grasped the significance of the noble ideas as preached by the great Sages of Indian Medicine and the savants of the western medicine. The so called systems merely represent different aspects and approaches to medical science as practiced during different ages and in different parts of the world; anything of value emerging from these should be utilized for the benefit of humanity as a whole and without any reservation.
